AwShit Nacho Tots

Picture it: it was a warm summer evening, and Nacho caught a glimpse of Tot from across a crowded picnic table. They were both delicious, and it was love at first sight. Fast-forward to today, and meet their beautiful children: AwShit Nacho Tots. How romantic.


* 1 32 oz. package of frozen tater tots
* 7 oz. pork sausage
* 1 tsp. AwShit
* 1 can (14 1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes with mild green chiles, undrained
* 12 oz. Velveeta, cubed
* 1 can (15 oz.) black beans, rinsed and drained
* 1/2 cup jalapeno slices (pickled or fresh, your choice!)
* 1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
* 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onions
* 1 medium ripe avocado, cubed
* 1 medium tomato, chopped
* 1/2 cup sour cream

1. Preheat oven to 425 °F. Place tater tots in an ungreased 13 x 9 in. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, 40 minutes or until very crispy. Flip the tots over halfway through cooking.
2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, crumble the sausage, season with AwShit and cook until no longer pink, then drain. Remove from pan and set aside. In the same skillet, add the canned tomatoes and cheese. Cook over medium heat until the cheese is melted and all is blended together.
3. Pour cheese mixture over the tater tots, and sprinkle with the cooked sausage and black beans. Bake, uncovered, 10 minutes.
4. Top with remaining ingredients just before serving.
