Texas Chili feat. SpecialShit & AwShit

We know that folks (especially Texans) are picky about their chili, and well, they should be! But we think this recipe will do the trick. It’s delicious and simple, and is great to eat by itself with some cornbread, or on nachos, enchiladas, or Frito pie. Feel free to tweak the seasonings depending on how spicy you like it.

Ingredients:

* 1 lb lean beef
* 1 lb roll of pork breakfast sausage
* 1 large white onion, finely chopped
* 5 Tbsp AwShit
* 3 Tbsp SpecialShit
* 1 Tbsp ground cumin
* 3 garlic cloves, minced
* ¾ tsp oregano
* 2 Tbsp cornmeal
* 1 cup water

Preparation:

1. Brown the meat and onion together in a large skillet and then drain well.
2. Add the remaining ingredients into a bowl and stir in the water, mixing well. Add this mixture into the skillet with the meat and onions, making sure it’s blended.
3. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer. Let it simmer for at least 30 minutes; you can let it simmer for longer if you want to, but make sure you stir it every 30 minutes.
