SpecialShit Tri-tip Roast

If you've fixed burgers a few too many times lately, here's another delicious recipe for the enjoyment of yourself and the carnivores in your life. This tri-tip roast is easy to cook and can be eaten on its own with a side, in sandwiches, in tacos, you name it. And SpecialShit of course makes it extra special.

* 1 2 1/2 lb beef tri-tip roast
* 3 1/2 Tbsp SpecialShit
* 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
* 1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
* 1/2 cup beef broth (optional)

1. Preheat the oven to 225°F.
2. Mix SpecialShit, cayenne, and dried oregano in a small bowl.
3. Place the roast in a baking pan and season generously with the spice rub until both sides are completely covered.
4. Bake in the preheated oven until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 130°F for medium-rare, or until desired doneness, 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Flip the meat over halfway.
5. Remove the roast from the oven, cover the pan with aluminum foil and let meat rest for 20 minutes. Then remove the tri-tip to a cutting board and cut into 2 pieces along where the grain changes direction. Slice meat across the grain and transfer to serving plates.
6. If you want to, mix the beef broth in with the pan drippings and drizzle over the meat slices.
